Plans

Creating a Treehouse Life treehouse requires more just than a vivid imagination and a flair for brilliant ideas. It calls for experience and understanding, and an excellent technical knowledge of every aspect of the design, manufacturing and construction process.

It is imperative that treehouse plans give a feel for what the actual scale and dimensions will be, and how the treehouse will ‘sit’ in the space and blend seamlessly into the surroundings. When seeing your ideas and dreams taking form through the plans, you will know that the treehouse we are creating is well built, made to last and above all else, a safe place for your children to play.

You will also hopefully have the confidence to know that you will be getting everything you had hoped for from your ‘treehouse’ life.

Play

When most parents think back to their own childhood, they remember a time when their back garden was an exciting land to explore. Where trees were to sit in, bushes to crawl through and cubby houses were just waiting to be built.

This was a time when it was safe to roam around nearby fields, ride your bike for hours on end and wade through ponds and streams. This was a time when the only thing on TV was a smiling clown and the A-Team, and an active imagination turned out to be your very best friend.

This was definitely a time before 24-hour cartoon channels, mobile phones, the Internet and highly addictive computer games.

Sadly, these times have now changed. Children have lost the sense of freedom that we once had, and forgotten how to create their own world of make-believe and self-discovery. The great outdoors, a place fuelled by fresh air and fun, has now been replaced with a couch. Toys all require batteries and the next generation only want to exercise if it takes place in an online world.

At Treehouse Life we are all about offering an alternative to this sort of world. We create spaces where children can learn just how much fun ‘playing’ really is. We create a place where parents can safely send their children out to run around, and then watch them develop and grow, pushing boundaries and challenging their capabilities.

We strongly believe that by mixing a little imagination with some fresh air and exercise, we can help your children to stay fit and healthy and teach them how to use their bodies, brains and bright ideas.

Design by Paul Cameron

When creating a new treehouse, it can never simply be designed on a flat piece of paper. It is a multi-dimensional design, requiring perspective, depth, height and dimension. More importantly perhaps, because a treehouse is a living, breathing structure, it needs to be injected with a little life and soul - and a heartbeat.

Every design that Paul Cameron creates reflects his strong sense of fun and adventure. He searches for the perfect balance between indoor living space and outdoors play. His vision for offering the ultimate in luxury outdoors resort living.

Always thinking outside of the box and pushing his designs to the next level, Paul is constantly looking for ways to improve and embellish his existing ideas. But even more than that, he is always looking for way to reinvent the expected and steer clear of the norm.

All of Paul’s designs take into account the expectations of the client, the wishes that they have and the functionality that they require. His treehouses are designed to work in unison with the space that they sit in, utilising all available resources and highlighting the qualities and features of the garden.

Looking to blend in with, and compliment the natural surrounding, none of Paul’s treehouses ever damage the look or health of the trees. On the contrary, his treehouses and unique system of spiralling decks that swirl and hug the treehouse itself, work in conjunction with the natural architecture of the tree and its individual branches.

With the focus on creating a groundbreaking style of ‘circular’ flow for play, every Paul Cameron design is not so much about just building a treehouse, as it is about creating a complete adventure in 3D.

Our ‘office’:

///globe.crisp.award

Deep in the Surrey Hills on the edges of Box Hill, wrapped in an area of outstanding natural beauty - we have our office, workshop and warehouse, we also have our own Surrey Hills woodland and pastureland field.

We do not have a retail site or showroom, all our creativity, inspiration and ideas come from your wish-list and your garden/woodland space - we create something that has “wow-factor” and is seamless in your garden, not just something glossy in a brochure or in a shop…our work will always look as though it lives and belongs in your garden.
